Houston, TX (September 16, 2024) – An off-duty deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s office was injured as a result of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning, September 15.
At around 11:20 a.m., a large group of motorcyclists were traveling on Hardy Toll Road. As they proceeded through the 18,100 block of the road, they were involved in a collision involving a total of six vehicles near Airtex Drive. A deputy was traveling northbound and swerved in order to avoid the accident. However, the vehicle struck a wall and went over it, causing serious injuries. The deputy, a motorcyclist, and one additional person were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
