In memoriam
William ‘Bill’ Edwards Jr.
August 25, 1931 – March 13, 2023
William ‘Bill’ Ryle Edwards Jr.
Bill was a true and unique giant living life to the absolute fullest. As a passionate advocate for the injured, he went beyond. the courtroom influencing changes in safety procedures and manufacturing practices affecting millions of consumers, particularly in the auto, trucking, oil and gas, and medical industries. His efforts received national media attention.
Bill’s trajectory included a career dedicated to fighting for victims and consumer rights, having worked on numerous cases with real-world implications. Many of the cases emphasized the need for safety mandates and standards to protect future generations from defective vehicles, defective products, dangerous pharmaceuticals, medical negligence, and deceptive trade practices. As a result of his outstanding legal credentials and experience, Bill was a frequent lecturer at trial seminars for more than 45 years.
Bill was committed to “what was right” but never failed to enjoy the little luxuries in life. If he wasn’t working, he was appreciating the Texas nature. Bill was a hand ball player, avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and rancher.
His words will continue to resonate and be our guiding spirit:
“My clients are really good people, and they were in trouble. If you worked hard and did a good job for them, they were improved in their lives. I felt like we were doing something good. It wasn’t about the money. It was the way I felt about my clients…the way doing that kind of work affected me.”
Carrying on his legacy is our Law firm’s priority.
