San Antonio, TX (August 1, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported on the east side of San Antonio Wednesday morning claimed one person’s life. The San Antonio Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 10:40 a.m. on July 31.
Official reports indicate that a man was traveling on the southbound side of Loop 410 with a trailer during the morning hours. As he proceeded through the area near East Houston Street, his trailer lost its load. As a result, the man pulled over to the side of the roadway. While attempting to reach cover the lost load, the man was struck by an 18-wheeler. The victim, identified as a male in his 50s, was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries while at the scene. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
