Houston, TX (August 31, 2024) – An officer with the Houston Police Department is currently recovering from a hit-and-run collision that occurred on Thursday evening, August 29.
Just after 11:00 p.m., a Houston police officer was traveling southbound on the West Sam Houston Parkway feeder road. As she proceeded through the area near Richmond Avenue, a second vehicle ran a red light and crashed into her patrol vehicle. The car then fled the scene of the crash.
