Houston, TX (August 5, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in the Houston area on Sunday morning claimed one person’s life. The Houston Police Department and area firefighters were called to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. on August 4.
Police reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the Katy Freeway. Authorities arrived at the scene and shut down the eastbound side of the roadway near Texas State Highway 6. The pedestrian was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. Details surrounding the identification of the victim are not known. The incident is currently being investigated.
