Houston, TX (June 30, 2024) – A 53-year-old man has lost his life as a result of a fatal accident involving a semi-truck tractor-trailer that occurred on Friday morning, June 28. The Houston Police Department was called to the scene at around 5:50 a.m.
Reports from the police department show that a man was riding a bicycle eastbound on North Sam Easton Parkway. While traveling on the service road, the man was struck by an 18-wheeler that was traveling eastbound. The driver of the 18-wheeler continued forward and fled the scene. The bicyclist, identified as a 53-year-old man, was located in the 800 block of the roadway with severe injuries. He was subsequently pronounced deceased by the Houston Fire Department paramedics. Currently, the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
