La Marque, TX (May 28, 2024) – Emergency crews in Galveston County were requested to provide help at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred early Monday morning, May 27.
At around 12:40 a.m., a motorcycle was traveling on the Gulf Freeway. As the vehicle proceeded through the area near Seawall Boulevard, it became involved in a collision with a second vehicle. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle. The victim, a 51-year-old woman, was transported to The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for emergency medical treatment of injuries. After the initial collision, the motorcyclist fled the scene and became involved in another collision. One person involved in the crash, a 30-year-old, died from their injuries on site. At this time, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
