Houston, TX (May 18, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported early Thursday morning claimed one person’s life. At around 3:20 p.m. on May 16, the Houston Police Department was informed that they were needed at the scene of a crash on 610 East Loop.
Police reports show that a car and a semi-truck tractor-trailer collided on the highway. The impact of the crash caused the truck to go off the roadway and collided with multiple trees. The car caught on fire and remained in the center of the roadway, blocking several lanes. One person involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
