Galveston, TX (May 27, 2024) – A woman has lost her life as a result of a drowning incident that occurred at the Galveston beach. The Galveston Island Beach Patrol was called to the scene of the incident at around 6:30 a.m., on May 26.
Official reports show that a 19-year-old woman was fatally injured as a result of a drowning incident that occurred in the area of 76th and Sand. Authorities arrived at the scene and pulled the woman from the water to perform CPR. However, attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful. The woman, identified as Yamileth Ramirez, ended up passing away as a result of her injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
