Companies Involved in Tire Defect Made to Settle with Client
“The last thing on my mind was hiring a lawyer. But when I did, I’m glad I got hooked up with Mr. Edwards,” – Edwards Law Firm client.
Betsy (name changed to protect client privacy) was driving her pickup on a state highway in south Texas when suddenly the left rear tire blew, sending the pickup out of control. It came to rest upside down in a drainage ditch filled with water, and Betsy drowned.
An investigation by the Edwards Law Firm showed the tire failed due to tread separation caused by a manufacturing defect. The firm’s lawsuit against the companies involved in the tire– from Michelin, which manufactured it, to Walmart, which sold it – resulted in a substantial settlement for Betsy’s family.
Betsy’s son later told us he was glad he hired the Edwards Law Firm to represent him. “I was treated really good, really professional. I was going through a really tough time. They did me right and I was very comfortable. I never felt like I was on the outside,” he said.
