Injuries Spark Kia to Recall Minivans

Reports of sliding doors closing on arms and legs have prompted Kia to recall 106,428 Sedona minivans, model years 2015-2018. The company said a programming malfunction may prevent the sliding doors from automatically reversing when they sense an object in the doorway. So far, Kia has received 14 reports claiming door-related injuries. Owners will be notified and can take the minivans to Kia dealerships, where the sliding-door software will be reprogrammed at no charge.
