Drive Shaft Problem Sparks BMW Recall of 2011-2012 Vehicles

BMW has announced a recall of 8,700 older model vehicles because the rear driveshaft constant velocity (CV) joint may fatigue and break. BMW will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear driveshaft CV joint and, based on its production date, will replace it, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on March 27, 2017.
