Corpus Christi, TX (March 11, 2024) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after a traffic accident in the Corpus Christi area on Friday, March 8. A man was walking at the 4500 block of Ayers Street when he was hit by an oncoming pickup truck late that night at around 8:23 p.m. The victim was treated at the scene by attending medical personnel. Leading up to the crash, the victim had left a local taqueria when he was struck.
The victim was later transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Both east and westbound lanes on the road were closed while authorities were present. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials.
