Houston, TX (October 4, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported in the city of Houston claimed one person’s life. The collision occurred on Thursday morning, October 3.
At around 530 a.m., a male cyclist was traveling in the 5700 block of South Wayside Drive. For unknown reasons, they were struck by a gray Subaru Baja pickup truck. The bicyclist, who is believed to be between the ages of 50 and 60, was fatally injured in the crash. The victim was pronounced deceased immediately at the scene by paramedics. The driver of the Subaru, a 25-year-old man, remained at the scene of the crash. The incident is currently being investigated by the Houston Police Department.
