Houston, TX – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported on East Freeway

Houston, TX (August 11, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Houston area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred on Saturday morning, August 10.

Law enforcement reports show that at around 12:15 a.m., a man in his mid-30s was struck by a vehicle in the 11,800 block of the East Freeway. The car involved in the accident remained at the scene. While waiting for authorities, the vehicle was struck by a second vehicle, which was occupied by six people. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries. The six people in the second vehicle were all transported to an area hospital for medical care. The driver of the first vehicle, identified as a female, was later transported to a local hospital. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
