San Antonio, TX – Pedestrian Crash on SW 34th St Takes One Life

San Antonio, TX (August 9, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in the San Antonio area early Thursday morning claimed one person’s life. The San Antonio Police Department was informed of the accident at around 1:00 a.m. on August 8.

According to law enforcement reports, a 57-year-old man was attempting to cross a West Side street during the early morning hours. As he proceeded through the area of Southwest 34^th Street and old Historic Highway 90, he was struck by a silver Suburban. The suburban was traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. The pedestrian was fatally injured in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement. The incident is currently being investigated.
