Houston, TX (June 15, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported on Wednesday evening in the Houston area claimed one person’s life. At around 930 p.m. on June 12, the Houston Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Southwest Freeway.
Preliminary reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the roadway near Westpark Drive. The pedestrian was fatally injured in the accident. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident prompted the closure of the southbound side of the roadway for a significant amount of time.
