Houston, TX (June 6, 2024) – A hit-and-run accident reported on Sunday evening in Houston claimed one person’s life. The incident occurred at around 910 p.m. on June 2, on the southeast side of Houston.
Official reports show a pedestrian was walking in the 6500 block of Lawndale Street during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a taco truck driving through the area struck the pedestrian, causing severe injuries. Authorities arrived at the scene to treat the victim. However, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on site. The taco truck fled the scene of the accident initially. Later on, the driver of the vehicle turned himself in. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
