Even with the utmost caution, pedestrians are vulnerable to severe, often fatal, injuries in the event of a vehicle collision. The reality is that the human body cannot withstand the severe impact of an automobile without serious or fatal consequences. In Texas, there has been a disturbing trend over the past few years - a significant increase in pedestrian fatalities. From 2018 to 2022, there was a nearly 30 percent surge in pedestrian deaths.
