Laredo, TX (April 26, 2024) – A bicyclist was injured as a result of a crash that occurred on Sunday, April 21. The police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 2:00 p.m.
Official reports indicate that a 15-year-old was riding a bicycle in the 1200 block of Willow Street when they were struck by a vehicle. The teen was severely injured as a result of the accident. The victim was transported to Laredo Medical Center in critical condition. The Chevrolet vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene. Authorities later located the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Stephanie Vera, was arrested and charged with an accident involving injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
