In the aftermath of a car accident, the risk of sustaining serious injuries is a grave concern, with certain types of collisions posing a significantly higher threat to life. Among these, head-on crashes stand out as particularly lethal on Texas highways. Research conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reveals that head-on collisions have an alarmingly high fatality rate of nearly 56 percent.
In Texas alone, these types of accidents result in nearly 500 deaths every year. Despite constituting less than two percent of all traffic incidents nationwide, head-on crashes account for almost 10 percent of all traffic-related fatalities. In such tragic circumstances, securing the services of a knowledgeable Texas personal injury attorney becomes essential, especially if you have lost someone dear to you in such an incident.
