These accidents resulted in a total of 562 fatalities and 2,422 severe injuries. Another 3,148 people suffered minor injuries. Riders are at greater risk when sharing the road with another vehicle, and despite what many people think, the majority of motorcycle crashes are caused by the negligent actions of other motorists.
