San Juan, TX - Fatal Head-on Collision at FM 495 & Raul Longoria Rd

San Juan, TX (March 27, 2024) - One person was killed and another hurt following a two-vehicle collision in the San Juan area on Tuesday, March 26. The crash occurred late that night at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 495 and Raul Longoria Road. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched after being notified of a head-on crash. 

Local reports revealed that two vehicles crashed head-on at the scene. One of the drivers suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased party was later identified as 22-year-old Roberto Carlos Rios of San Juan. The other driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, the circumstances leading to the accident have not been determined. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
