Victoria, TX (March 12, 2024) - On Monday night, March 11, a bicyclist was hurt after a collision in the Victoria area. The accident occurred at the 8600 block of S. Navarro Street late that night at around 9:10 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties.
It was later revealed that a 65-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was hit from behind by a pickup truck. The rider suffered critical injuries in the accident. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The 57-year-old man driving the pickup was not injured. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the bicycle accident is in the hands of local authorities, and more information will be provided as it continues.
