The Edwards Law Firm
There's more to choosing a law firm than finding a good attorney. When you hire a law firm to take on your case, you also hire its support staff and resources.
The Edwards Law Firm's success in winning large out-of-court settlements and securing substantial jury awards gives the Firm the financial resources to purchase state-of-the-art equipment and attract the talented support staff needed to prepare and win complicated and expensive personal injury lawsuits.
In order to keep abreast of their contemporaries in the legal community and to take advantage of a vast centralized repository of information, many of The Edwards Law Firm attorneys belong to plaintiff-oriented professional organizations such as the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (for information and document exchange among attorneys), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
The Firm's attorneys are backed up by a large group of competent support personnel. Legal Assistants, Registered Nurses and Investigators all work with the attorneys to prepare for trial.
When needed, The Edwards Law Firm also calls upon highly qualified expert witnesses - from diverse fields of expertise. Other in-house resources available to the Firm include a Video Department, Computer Department, Vehicle Warehouse and Video Library.
- Video Department: The Firm's state-of-the-art video department records and edits video using both a linear and non-linear computer based editing suite for presentation during mediation and trial. They also film depositions and inspections and photograph accident scenes. The video department often creates "day-in-the-life" videos of accident victims to illustrate the disruptive and horrendous nature of their injuries and create video "settlement brochures" used to resolve lawsuits before they go to court.
- Computer Department: The Edwards Law Firm's computer department is fully networked with remote dial-in capability, which means attorneys have access to the Firm's computer resources no matter where they might be. Attorneys can download files, send email and secure, transfer and print files away from the office. The Firm's systems personnel maintain all computers and work with the video department on trial presentations.
- Vehicle Warehouse: The Firm's 10,000-square-foot vehicle warehouse is used to store evidentiary and exemplar (intact or cutaway) vehicles in a secured, indoor storage facility. These vehicles are kept to show working parts or design flaws and the resulting damage caused by product defects.
- Video Library: The Edwards Law Firm maintains a collection of 400 to 500 crash-test and product-safety videos amassed through years of law practice. Its collection includes crash-test videos of many automobile models now deemed defective.
